Start Your Journey with Splunk

At Splunk, our mission is to make machine data accessible, usable, and valuable to everyone. Whether it's helping organizations gain visibility, strengthen their cybersecurity posture, or optimize operations, Splunk is at the center of digital resilience.
We are now looking for a motivated and technically curious Solutions Engineer to join our growing team in Iberia (based in Madrid), supporting both Splunk’s Core Platform and Security solutions.
This is a pre-sales role for someone with a solid technical foundation, strong interest in security and data analytics, and a desire to grow within a world-class pre-sales organization. If you have experience working with Splunk or are already certified, and want to take the next step supporting major enterprise customers, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the account team during the sales cycle to identify customer needs and demonstrate how Splunk can address them.
  • Support the design and delivery of technical demos, product overviews, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
  • Assist in developing use cases and showing customers how Splunk can solve real-world problems across IT and Security operations.
  • Participate in discovery meetings and gather technical requirements to align Splunk’s solutions to customer objectives.
  • Work with senior Solutions Engineers to develop and maintain technical content (dashboards, searches, architecture diagrams, etc.).
  • Deliver presentations to customer audiences, both remotely and in person.
  • Stay up to date with Splunk product capabilities and roadmap; become a trusted technical voice in the sales team.
  • Participate in events, webinars, and hands-on workshops.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in a technical or customer-facing role (pre-sales, consulting, implementation, or support).
  • Practical exposure to Splunk (e.g., through real projects, labs, or internal use).
  • Familiarity with use cases in IT operations, cybersecurity, log analysis, or monitoring.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools (SIEM, alerting, dashboards, incident response workflows).
  • Understanding of data ingestion, parsing, field extraction, and working with SPL (Search Processing Language).
  • Comfortable working with Linux/Unix environments and common command-line tools.
  • Basic familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) or automation concepts is a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Very high proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written, is strictly required for this role. You must be able to present technical concepts clearly in both languages to varied audiences, including C-level stakeholders.

Highly Valued

  • High proficiency in Catalan, both spoken and written, will be positively considered, particularly for customer engagements in Catalonia.
  • Splunk Core Certified User
  • Splunk Core Certified Power User
  • Splunk Core Certified Admin
  • Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin (optional)
  • Interest or experience with Splunk Security use cases (e.g., using Enterprise Security or SOAR).
  • Knowledge of data formats such as JSON, Syslog, or CSV.
  • A desire to grow into a strategic pre-sales role, learning from senior team members.

What We Offer

  • A supportive, high-growth environment with room to evolve into senior roles.
  • Access to top-tier training and Splunk certifications.
  • The opportunity to work on real enterprise projects with the support of experienced mentors.
  • A culture that values curiosity, learning, teamwork, and customer impact.
  • Flexible working arrangements and travel opportunities within Iberia.
