We’re looking for a passionate, experienced, and strategic Senior Solutions Engineer in Cybersecurity, based in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona), to support our continued growth in the Iberian market.
This is a senior pre-sales role, requiring both technical expertise and a deep understanding of the enterprise sales cycle. You will work closely with account teams to design impactful solutions that address the real challenges our enterprise customers face every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer security needs and challenges, and build tailored solutions based on Splunk’s Security portfolio.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and technical demonstrations, both remote and in person, to technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements that clearly demonstrate the value of Splunk in addressing real-world security use cases.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and support the technical content of proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Participate in security workshops, customer sessions, and industry events.
  • Create pre-sales assets such as solution overviews, ROI analyses, competitive positioning, and success stories.
  • Build trust and credibility with customers by becoming a long-term technical advisor.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering or customer-facing security role, ideally within a cybersecurity or enterprise software vendor.
  • Proven success working with enterprise and large accounts, navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end sales cycle and ability to collaborate strategically with Account Executives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships and articulating value clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the Iberia region as needed.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Technical Qualifications

  • Practical expertise in several of the following areas:
  • SIEM and SOAR platforms and security monitoring
  • Threat detection, incident response, and cyber defense
  • Threat intelligence integration and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
  • Security data ingestion, parsing, correlation, and normalization
  • Cloud security monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Network security, endpoint telemetry, audit logs, and user behavior analytics (UEBA)
  • Familiarity with security data formats (Syslog, JSON, CEF, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows), networking protocols, and IT infrastructure.
  • Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) are a plus.
  • Experience with Splunk’s security solutions (Enterprise Security, SOAR) is highly valued.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
  • Recognized cybersecurity certifications such as:
  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISM – Certified Information Security Manager
