The Security Advisor role will be instrumental in growing and expanding Splunk’s product area customer base. The role will be responsible for working with Sales Field leaders and account managers on a defined set of accounts within the EMEA theater to define and execute on sales strategies encouraging deployments of Splunk portfolio of products. The advisor will work with these accounts to build strategy and competitive take-out account plans to increase the percentage of Splunk products while displacing competitors.
This role will engage and influence existing Splunk customers to increase pipeline, enhance deal sizes, and will seek to increase closure rates. The success of this role will be dependent on driving results in the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Partner with Regional Sales Managers to develop account and sales plans for customers within the EMEA theater.
Build points of view on future state operating models for security.
Evangelize your points of view on cyber security.
Help develop and execute security expansion at the sub-theater level.
Identify the Security competitors within customer accounts and create competitive take-out plans.
Communicate to Sales Field leadership on observations that will change or adjust the overall account strategy of accounts.
Attend Executive Briefing Center meetings and act as a well-rounded Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Security capabilities and build the depth to confidently present in front of audiences of all sizes and technical backgrounds.
Engage, build relationships, and influence champions and stakeholders within customer accounts to understand their objectives and influence their strategy.
Adeptly have a conversation with all customer levels and switch from technical discussions about security to future state operating models.
Be knowledgeable about our competitors' tactics and how we can best compete against them. Communicate these tactics throughout the sales organization.
Understand and leverage the Value Assessment tools to help the sales team regularly incorporate into their sales opportunities.
Understand and leverage the Industry Advisor team to help the sales team regularly incorporate Industry strategies and use cases into their sales opportunities.
Understand and leverage the Field CTO team to assist them with long-term strategies to assist our most strategic customers in their multi-Product Area journey.
Requirements:
Substantial experience in cyber security with experience in policy making, operating models, technology landscapes and reporting.
Prior experience of working in a security operations center environment
Ability to to explain technical security concepts
Experience of writing policy for security operating procedures
Public speaking experience is highly desired
