Do you have a track record of building strategic relationships and delivering results within the UK Intelligence and National Security?
Are you passionate about national security, digital resilience, and emerging technologies—and ready to support some of the most mission-critical organisations in the UK?
We are hiring an Account Executive– UK Intelligence & Security to join the Splunk Public Sector team, supporting key government accounts across the UK intelligence and national security ecosystem.
This is a senior individual contributor role that requires deep familiarity with government, the intelligence community, stakeholder environments, and procurement pathways. You’ll be part of a specialised team helping organisations use Splunk’s data platform to detect threats, modernise systems, and gain real-time operational insight across complex environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistently deliver against ambitious targets with a strong focus on predictability, long-term engagement, and mission value.
  • Own and manage a strategic portfolio of accounts within the UK intelligence and national security domain.
  • Shape long-term engagement strategies, drive account planning, and coordinate with internal teams to align on mission objectives and programmatic needs.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, including technical, operational, and procurement channels within sensitive or classified environments.
  • Collaborate with in-house sales engineering, security, and delivery teams to design and deliver solutions tailored to critical use cases such as cyber defence, threat detection, insider risk, and operational resilience.
  • Apply Splunk’s value proposition to real-world intelligence and security challenges—leveraging data to drive situational awareness and mission outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for your customers, ensuring they gain full value from their investments in data and technology.
  • Engage regularly with C-level, senior officials, and technical leaders, understanding both strategic and tactical priorities.
  • Operate within a high-performing team culture with a focus on shared goals, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional engagement across Splunk to align with government frameworks, delivery partners, and compliance standards.

Requirements:
  • Proven success (minimum 3 years) in strategic account management or mission engagement within the UK public sector, ideally with direct experience supporting intelligence agencies, national security organisations, or secure government departments.
  • Ideally, holding existing SC or DV clearance within the community.
  • Deep understanding of the operational needs and challenges facing the UK intelligence and security sector, including sensitivity to governance, risk, and assurance processes.
  • Experience managing complex account environments, building trusted relationships, and aligning technology solutions to evolving mission priorities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and technical teams alike.
  • Strong executive presence, with comfort navigating ‘C-Suite’ and senior official engagements within government or defence.
  • Experience of closing complex software or platform deals, ideally within government procurement frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, DOS, CCS, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of SaaS or cloud-based forecasting, opportunity risk management, and public sector procurement cycles.
  • Strong growth mindset and adaptability—curious, self-aware, and willing to learn continuously in a dynamic, regulated environment.
  • Comfortable operating independently and remotely, while maintaining strong collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK for customer meetings, on-site engagement, and industry or government events—up to several times per month.
