Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User has greater depth of knowledge and skills in complex searching and reporting commands, advanced use cases of knowledge objects, and best practices for building dashboards and forms. This certification demonstrates an individual’s ability to generate complex searches, reports, and dashboards with Splunk’s core software to get the most out of their data.

The prerequisite courses listed below are highly recommended, but not required for candidates to register for the certification exam.

  

Splunk Fundamentals 1

This self-paced course teaches you how to search and navigate in Splunk, use fields, get statics from your data, create reports, dashboards, lookups, and alerts. It will also introduce you to Splunk's datasets features and Pivot interface.
 

Certification Exam

Splunk Core Certified User is a recommended entry-level exam to Splunk Core Certified Power User. We encourage all candidates to become Splunk Core Certified Users as their first step in our certification program, though it is not required.

Splunk Fundamentals 2

This 4 virtual-day course focuses on additional SPL commands, using field aliases and calculated fields, creating tags and event types, using macros, creating workflow actions and data models, and normalizing data with the CIM. 

Certification Exam

Splunk Core Certified Power User is a mandatory prerequisite to Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User. All candidates must complete the Power User exam before proceeding.

Splunk Fundamentals 3

This 4 virtual-day course focuses on additional search commands as well as on advanced use of knowledge objects. Major topics include advanced statistics and eval commands, advanced lookup topics, advanced alert actions, using regex and erex to extract fields, using spath to work with self-referencing data, creating nested macros and macros with event types, and accelerating reports and data models.
 

Creating Dashboards with Splunk

This two-day course is designed for power users who want to learn best practices for building dashboards and forms. It focuses on improving performance, using tokens and global searches; customizing charts, creating dynamic behaviors and adding extensions for JavaScript and CSS. 

Advanced Searching and Reporting with Splunk

This 3 virtual day course takes the Splunk search language to the next level. Learn powerful advanced commands and lookup methods.
