A “Sensor” refers to a unit that streams a single type of numerical time-stamped data from an asset, application or other entity into the software. A Sensor is measured as a unique combination of 'metric_name' and 'asset' that is ingested into Splunk's metrics index in the past 24 hours.

What is Splunk Business Flow?

Splunk Business Flow is a process mining solution for business operations professionals that provides interactive exploration and visualization of their actual end-to-end business processes and customer experiences to proactively discover opportunities for improvement.

 

Can I try Splunk Business Flow before I buy it?

Can I buy Splunk Business Flow as a standalone product?

Splunk Business Flow requires a license to Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud. Please contact us to request pricing information for Splunk Business Flow.

 

What does the license metric “Flow Model” mean?

A “Flow Model” refers to a managed unit of work that consists of the unified stream of event logs aggregated through correlation across IDs. A Flow Model is measured through the initial definition and setup before derivative process flows can be generated.

There are two types: "Shared" Flow Models are for production use and counts towards license usage. "Private" Flow Models do not count towards license usage. Private Flow Models are used for testing, configuration and preview of Shared Flow Models.

 

Do I get a volume discount if I buy a larger Splunk Business Flow license?

Yes. Splunk Business Flow pricing has built-in volume discounts. You pay based on the number of flow models you would like to license.

 

Does my plan price include support?

If you purchase an Annual (Term) License, support is included in the license price. You can find more information about Splunk Business Flow’s support offerings here.

 

What are the licensing options for Splunk Business Flow?

Splunk offers Term Licenses for Splunk Business Flow. A Term License is for a specific time period, usually a year, during which you are allowed to access and use the software. At the end of the term, you must stop using the software or purchase new licenses. Splunk also offers multi-year term license options for customers interested in a longer-term commitment.

For the Annual (Term) License, the per unit price quoted above includes Standard Support. If you renew your Annual (Term) License at the end of your license period, you will also get Enterprise Support included.

 

Where can I find pricing for Splunk Premium Solutions, such as Splunk Enterprise Security, or Splunk Business Flow?

These Splunk Premium Solutions require a Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud subscription. Please contact us to request pricing information for Splunk Premium Solutions.
