Job Description (Revenue Software Engineer)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Revenue Software Engineer to join Splunk's Finance Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of a robust revenue recognition solution. Your primary focus will involve prototyping, designing, and configuring solutions using the Zuora Revenue (RevPro) platform and integrations with SAP S/4HANA ERP and Salesforce CRM platforms.

You will work with a dynamic, distributed team responsible for constantly evolving the systems and processes supporting our Finance and Accounting functions. You’ll be responsible for the design and delivery of new or enhanced solutions in SAP OTC areas. You’ll work closely with business, IT partners and other partners to design, build, test, and deliver high-quality deliveries. You will evaluate potential new applications and solutions against business requirements, ensuring they are aligned to broader architectural and security standards and that they meet tactical and strategic objectives.

You will also collaborate with a global hybrid team of business analysts and engineers supporting production applications and maintenance of 24x7 applications in a SOX compliant environment.

Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified:

Collaborate with diverse-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Business Operations, to accumulate requirements and design effective revenue recognition solutions.
Configure, customize, and optimize the Zuora RevPro platform to meet the specific needs of the Finance and Revenue Business teams.
Develop wireframes and prototypes to demonstrate the proposed revenue recognition solutions and collect feedback from stakeholders.
Work with the SAP team to configure and enable ttehe SAP Revenue Recognition (RAR) solution, aligning it with the overall revenue recognition process.
Ensure compliance with the ASC 606 revenue recognition standard in the SAP S/4HANA system and establish necessary controls and processes to maintain compliance.
Thorough understanding of the Zuora RevPro platform and its configuration capabilities.
Familiarity with the SAP Revenue Recognition (RAR) solution and expertise in configuring and enabling it.
Excellent problem-solving skills, enabling you to analyse complex business requirements and design effective solutions.
Devise and perform testing strategies to validate the functionality, accuracy, and performance of the revenue recognition solution.
Identify and resolve any technical issues or system defects that arise during the implementation and maintenance phases.
Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, facilitating their effective utilization of the revenue recognition solution.
Stay updated on the latest industry Standard in revenue recognition and system integration, actively seeking opportunities for improvement.
Work with the multi-functional projects team, end-users on core requirements to identify test scenarios and design test cases
Consolidate reporting defects, tracking, validating with Testers.
Report and communicate the progress of testing for each release.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, growing company where flexibility is imperative.
Well-organized; able to multiple tasks and prioritize in a high-pressure environment with minimal direction.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex system integration projects, preferably within the finance system.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and function effectively as a teammate.

Preferred knowledge and experience: These are a huge plus.

Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce platforms, including their integration frameworks and capabilities.
Experience with SAP revenue recognition solution, including RAR implementation in SAP and Zuora RevPro solution.
Familiarity with Finance Systems and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Education: Got it!

Bachelor degree computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience is preferred
Post-Graduation is a plus for consideration

Base Pay Range

India

Base Pay: INR 2,720,000.00 - 3,740,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
