How do I learn more about Splunk’s pricing options?

We've included FAQs on each pricing option below, and you can contact Splunk for additional information on pricing details and whether these pricing options are right for you.

Workload or Infrastructure-Based Pricing

What is Workload or Infrastructure-based pricing?

Workload or Infrastructure-based pricing is an alternate way to purchase Splunk's software and SaaS products. This pricing model is based on the compute capacity consumed rather than data volume ingested. It includes options for some of our on-premises and cloud products and allows customers to control the amount of product consumption while making explicit choices between search response times and amount of data indexed.

How does pricing under this model work?

Workload or Infrastructure-based pricing is determined by the amount of compute power and, in some cases memory, assigned to Splunk's on-premises and cloud products.

What kind of licensing is offered under Workload or Infrastructure-based pricing?

Term Licenses are available for on-premises and Annual Subscriptions are available for Splunk Cloud.

What products are available under this pricing model?

Workload or Infrastructure-based pricing is available for Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security and IT Service Intelligence.

Predictive Pricing

What is Predictive Pricing?

The Predictive Pricing Program (PPP) offers pricing to customers based on predefined volume tiers up to unlimited ingestion. Customers can consume up to the maximum in each tier for a single price, and get clear visibility in the cost of the subsequent higher tiers, for more predictability.

This works for customers who are already comfortable with ingestion licensing and makes it much easier to purchase and implement Splunk for large use cases.

How does pricing under this model work?

Customers purchase a predictive pricing tier and can ingest data to the upper bound of that tier for a single price. If customers need to use more data, they can move to the next tier. Pricing tiers scale from 125GB to unlimited data volumes and provide more predictability as data volumes grow. Contact us for more details on the tiered packages.

What kind of licensing is offered under Predictive Pricing?

Term Licenses are available for on-premises.

What products are available under this pricing model?

Predictive Pricing is available for Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk User Behavior Analytics.

What organization can purchase Predictive Pricing Licensing?

Predictive Pricing is only available to private sector organizations at this time. If you are a public sector organization you can explore additional pricing options below or contact us to find the pricing that best fits your needs.

Ingest Pricing

What is Ingest pricing?

Ingest pricing offers volume-based pricing to customers based on GB/day data ingestion into Splunk products. This well-known pricing option continues to be available to new and current customers to get the maximum value from ingested data without added cost to increase search activity.

How does pricing under this model work?

Customers purchase a GB/day data ingest amount and can ingest data up to that amount per day. If customers need to use more data, they can purchase the next ingest level available all the way up to unlimited data volumes.

What kind of licensing is offered under Ingest pricing?

Term Licenses are available for on-premises and Annual Subscriptions are available for Splunk Cloud.

What products are available under this pricing model?

Ingest pricing is available for Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk User Behavior Analytics.
