Role Summary
Data Management – Splunk Platform
At Splunk, we believe in crafting an environment where everyone can do their best work and be their authentic self. Our values—Innovative, Hard-working, Pioneering, Open, and Fun—aren’t just words, they guide how we work together every day.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead two of the fastest-growing areas in our Data Management portfolio: Edge Processor and Ingest Processor. If you’re passionate about solving tough technical problems, driving product strategy, and making life better for enterprise admins and data engineers—this could be your next big move.
You’ll report to the Senior Manager of Product Management in the Data Management group. You’ll be part of a global, collaborative team that’s passionate about building phenomenal products—and having fun doing it. You’ll work with peers across engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams based in the US, Canada, and Poland
What you'll get to do
- Own the vision and strategy for how customers deploy and lead these tools at scale.
- Deliver a powerful admin experience that makes it easy to roll out configuration settings of varying complexity, deploy business logic, scale resources up/down, and stay compliant.
- Bring voice of the customer into every decision, balancing technical nuance with clarity and usability.
- Drive market differentiation, by keeping ahead of trends in edge compute, data federation, and stream processing.
- Collaborate across Splunk, aligning engineering, design, customer success, and field teams on your roadmap and strategy.
- Drive clear value and pricing models, helping users understand what they’re paying for and why it matters.
Must-have Qualifications
- 4+ years of product management experience, preferably in data platforms, infrastructure, observability, or distributed systems.
- A customer-first approach with an interest in understanding what technical users need—even if they don’t say it out loud.
- Experience working with admin workflows, scaling infrastructure, or compliance-driven environments.
- A bias for clarity and execution—you can turn ambiguity into action and keep the team moving.
- Strong communication skills—you’re equally comfortable talking to engineers, execs, and customers.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
We’ve taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves. “Nice-to-have” means just that: Nice. To. Have. So, don’t worry if you can’t check off every box. We’re not hiring a list of bullet points–we’re interested in the whole you.
- Edge compute or stream processing tools
- Enterprise-grade admin consoles or deployment tooling
- Products with usage-based pricing or metering
