We’re seeking a passionate and results driven sales professional -Regional Sales Manager, Civilian Agencies that understands the importance of delivering continued value to our customers & prospects.   • Success building meaningful relationships with customers at every level – from end users to the C-suite.

  • Success orchestrating and aligning decision makers around a common objective.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to pick up, grasp, and convey value in sophisticated Software product offerings.
  • Establish a vision and plan for continued pipeline generation and to execute your plan on-time.
  • Research & understand your customer’s mission, needs, and challenges in depth.
  • Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities.
  • Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across diverse business stakeholders.
  • Become a master of Splunk’s internal processes.
  • Diligently maintain CRM inputs and track progress

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of sales experience (selling complex enterprise software-SaaS/Cloud)
  • 5 + years of direct enterprise software sales experience
  • 3+ years of current Civilian Agency related sales experience is desired.
  • Experience covering the Agencies of Health is highly desirable.
  • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior sales business manager level
  • You are an attested "hunter" willing to take on an acquisition territory and have fun doing so
  • Consistent track record of sales performance and knowledge of Federal Civilian sales
  • Comfortable and creative with white space, new customer demand and contract capture
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills and carried a $1.5 to $2.0 million annual quota (software sales and iACV)
  • Business development, prospecting skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Must live within the Washington DC Metropolitan Area

Note:

OTE Pay Ranges

For sales roles the ranges are expressed as On Target Earning or OTE (OTE = base + incentives in the form of sales incentive plans).

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

On Target Earnings: $248,000.00 - 341,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), New York (excludes NYC Metro Area), and all other states.

On Target Earnings: $244,000.00 - 335,500.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
