Employee Communications Specialist - GTM and Product communications Remote (32741)

Role Summary

Splunk Employee Communication team is on a mission to inspire, advise and enable Splunkers worldwide! This hands-on role, will work with the Global Employee Communications Team to help increase awareness and employee engagement related to the global Splunk functional organizational transformation, business strategy, priorities and initiatives.

  • Partner with GTM and Product leadership and communications leads to define and deliver internal communication best practices.
  • Actively partner with the global employee communications team to ensure alignment of internal messaging, timing and editorial strategies.
  • In collaboration with the GTM and Product leadership and communications leads, identify and develop engaging content to post to the intranet and refresh the homepage on a weekly basis.
  • Help translate culture and brand through in-person and virtual, employee-facing events and experiences.
  • Excellent project and program management experience in delivering virtual and in-person all hands meetings, town halls, roundtables, and "Ask Me Anything" sessions.
  • Deliver change management communications for the function, including reorganizations, system, process and tools update, operational updates and announcements.
  • Evolve existing and build new communication channels to ensure an efficient mix of top-down, sideways and bottoms-up communication is taking place.
  • Balance planned communications with unplanned and urgent business needs.
  • Partner closely with GTM Employee Communications team members to align and leverage GTM communication activities and moments
  • Prepare, proof-read and edit internal communication materials, including presentations, intranet content, newsletters, Slack posts and emails.
  • Measure and report key communications metrics to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze key communication metrics to make recommendations to improve our employee communication strategies.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 7 years of demonstrated ability in developing effective communications strategies and/or organizational change strategies, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Thrives on details and planning communication programs and materials.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (a background as a writer is a big plus) and outstanding people skills.
  • A strong ability to develop cross-functional relationships and work with employees in all functions and at all levels, from interns to executives.
  • Shown success playing a consultative role with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Quick learner who proactively owns the role and independently addresses and completes tasks.
  • Solid understanding of digital communication channels and processes, including Slack, G-Suite, Smartsheets, Zoom and Poppulo.
  • Fun, creative people are required.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
