Splunk Product Research Lab – FAQ

The Splunk Product Research Lab is a program where users and professionals can share their experiences, ideas, and feedback directly with Splunk’s product and design teams. Your insights help shape the future of Splunk’s tools and services.

Anyone interested in IT operations, security, observability, or related fields is welcome! System administrators, security analysts, IT managers, network engineers, and other professionals are encouraged to join. You don’t need to be a current Splunk user or expert.

Simply fill out our sign up form and answer a few quick questions about your role and expertise. This helps us match you with the right research opportunities.

When a study fits your background, our product or design team will email you the details to connect with us. Participation is always voluntary - you decide which sessions you’d like to join.

Studies might include interviews, feedback on designs or concepts, surveys, or trying out new features. Most sessions are online, remote, and typically last between 10 and 60 minutes.

You may receive invitations to participate in a study about once every 30 days, depending on your profile and our current research needs. Participation is always optional, and you can choose which opportunities to join.

Your information is only used by the Splunk Product Experience team to match you with relevant surveys and studies, and to contact you about future research opportunities. We follow Cisco’s Online Privacy Statement to keep your data safe. If you ever want to stop participating, you can easily opt out by following the instructions in any Splunk Product Research Lab email.
