Splunk Appoints Jake Loomis as Chief Digital Officer

Veteran Technology Executive with Experience at Apple and Yahoo to Lead Digital Transformation

SAN FRANCISCO - September 17, 2018 - Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLK), first in delivering “aha” moments from machine data, today announced it has appointed Jake Loomis as senior vice president, chief digital officer (CDO). Loomis is a veteran technology executive with experience spanning some of the biggest names in technology. As CDO, Loomis will oversee the digital transformation strategy at Splunk, specifically focused on the IT and Information Security space with Declan Morris, CIO, and Joel Fulton, CISO, reporting to Loomis. Loomis will report to Doug Merritt, President and CEO, Splunk.

Loomis previously served more than two years as Engineering Director, Internet Services Operations group at Apple, responsible for engineering and operations support for most of its global cloud customers. Prior to Apple, he held numerous positions over the course of his 14 years at Yahoo!, most recently as Vice President of Production Engineering.
