Splunk Announces Zillow Will Expand Use of Its Platform

SAN FRANCISCO – May 10, 2016 – Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLK), provider of the leading software platform for real-time Operational Intelligence, today announced that Zillow Group, which houses a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on the Web and mobile,  has standardized on Splunk® Enterprise across its various brands to help improve the overall customer experience. Zillow has been steadily expanding its use of Splunk Enterprise over several years from IT operations and application delivery to DevOps and business analytics. The company will now use Splunk Cloud across additional Zillow Group-owned brands including Trulia® and Retsly®. The website operations team at Zillow proactively uses the Splunk platform for monitoring and reporting to carry out live site investigations and quickly troubleshoot incidents reported by customers. Using Splunk software, IT operations and development teams are more easily collaborating by gaining a centralized view into mission-critical data. The product teams at Zillow are using the Splunk platform for real-time insights into website performance so that they can immediately mitigate any issues to improve the customer experience. The teams also track and analyze website metrics showing trends relating to online user behaviors and preferences, also leading to improved customer experience. Additionally, the security team uses the Splunk platform to identify site malfunctions or anomalies that could potentially jeopardize site uptime.
