Splunk Wins Top Awards in Asia Pacific Market

Takes Home Excellence Award and Top Business Solution at CeBIT.AU; Ranked Best in Big Data Analytics by NetworkWorld Asia

SAN FRANCISCO and HONG KONG- June 18, 2013 Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLK), the leading software platform for real-time operational intelligence, today announced that it has won two top awards in the Asia Pacific region. CeBIT.AU, a leading business technology conference in Australia, honored Splunk with its top industry prize, the CeBIT.AU ICT Excellence Award as well as the CeBIT.AU Business Award for Top Business Solution. In addition, NetworkWorld Asia, an enterprise IT magazine read by more than 16,000 IT professionals, named Splunk "Best in Big Data Analytics", a category in its 2013 Information Management Awards.

"As Splunk's business grows across Asia Pacific, we are honored and grateful to be recognized by two prestigious media companies in the region," said Robert Lau, general manager and vice president, Asia Pacific and Japan (APAC), Splunk. "CeBIT Australia and NetworkWorld Asia awards further validate Splunk's global leadership in big data and operational intelligence. We'd like to thank Splunk's 5,600 customers whose work makes awards like these possible."

The CeBIT awards process includes a judging panel made up of a select group of CeBIT's long-term industry partners. At the awards ceremony, CeBIT called Splunk "a pioneering big data innovator that collects and harnesses machine data to enable customers to search, analyze, and visualize massive streams of real-time and historical data."

Editors evaluated all nominees for NetworkWorld Asia's Information Management Awards before more than 100 CIOs and IT heads - readers of NetworkWorld Asia magazine, and the Networks Asia, Security Asia and Storage Asia websites - made their selections. Judging criteria focused on: Splunk's reputation and acceptance in the Asia Pacific market, solution and unique selling points (USPs) features, customer and user feedback, and durability, scalability and quality of service factors.
