Dawn Manley

Dawn Manley leads Global Strategic Initiatives and Operations for Splunk’s Chief Technology Office, which spans all of Splunk’s R&D as well as IT and security operations. She is responsible for driving diverse cross-organizational initiatives, including Remote Work Insights and blockchain/DLT, due diligence and integration for acquisitions, annual planning, and establishing global research partnerships. Previously, Dawn was Chief of Staff for the President and Chief Strategy Officer at Samsung Electronics and also served in strategy and business development roles for emerging business areas including smart mobility, advanced materials, and data centers. She spent over sixteen years leading R&D programs in transportation & energy and chemical & biological defense at Sandia National Laboratories. Dawn has twenty publications in alternative energy, biodefense, and thin film flows. She has served as an advisor to multiple organizations, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the National Academies Transportation Research Board, and the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Dawn is a Chemical Engineer by training, with her Ph.D. and M.A. from Princeton University and a B.S. from Stanford University.
