At Splunk, we offer pricing that is simple, straightforward and fosters adoption across your organization. For the full-featured version of Splunk Enterprise, pricing is based on the amount of data indexed PER DAY.
- No charge for the number of users.
- No charge for the number of CPUs, cores or nodes.
- No charge for data sources or data types.
- No charge for the number of searches, alerts or volume of data searched.
- No charge for the total amount of data you store in Splunk Enterprise.
Once you license Splunk Enterprise, have as many people as you want use the software, create as many searches, alerts, correlations, reports, dashboards and automated remedial actions as you need. All at no additional cost.
Significant Volume Discounts as Your Usage Increases
Customers receive significant volume discounts with larger licenses (higher daily indexing levels).
Splunk Enterprise Software Cost
Even in the best run environments, there may be unanticipated spikes in the daily data volume. Users of Splunk Enterprise can currently exceed the daily indexing amount specified in their license up to five times per month. Users receive a warning each time, but the data continues to be indexed and all functionality continues to work. If the user exceeds the daily licensing limit more than five times within a month, then all data continues to be collected and indexed but the user must contact Splunk for additional license capacity in order to access the search capability and other features.
Regardless of license size, Splunk customers have achieved a highly compelling return on investment. They see value delivered in days or weeks, not months or years. The ROI often comes from multiple business and financial benefits, such as a reduction of costs, an increase in revenues and better insight for the business. Perpetual and Term Licensing
There are two options for licensing Splunk Enterprise: perpetual and term.
- Perpetual license: this includes the full functionality of Splunk Enterprise and starts as low as $4,500 for 1 GB/day*, plus annual support fees
- Term license: this provides the option of paying a yearly fee instead of the one-time perpetual license fee. Term licenses start at $1,800 per year*, which include annual support fees
For organizations that decide to standardize on Splunk software as their enterprise-wide platform for machine data, we do offer alternative pricing based on the specific needs and plans for individual customers.
Hunk™: Splunk Analytics for Hadoop and NoSQL Data Stores
