Whether you just downloaded Splunk or have been using it a long time, Splunk Education has courses that will help you get the most out of Splunk. Our courses are concise and structured for rapid learning. We offer instructor-led classes via virtual classroom and at your site. Or take self guided lessons whenever you like.
Self-guided
Before or after a class - or at any other time - you can take our self-guided lessons. These 10-15 minute sessions focus on one discrete topic. They supplement and enhance formal learning. And best of all - these are free! We will be building out a full library, so keep coming back here. For now, try out our first class, Correlation with Subsearches. Instructor-led classes are available virtually or at your site. We schedule virtual classes of the complete Splunk curriculum at least once a month. The classes are delivered live via web broadcast and have hands-on exercises through remote servers. Virtual classes are taught in three to four-hour segments, so you can keep up with your day job, or spend time for extra lab work. Learn more about our virtual classroom. Using Splunk 4
This four-hour course prepares users to get the most out of searching, navigating, alerting and reporting with Splunk. It's recommended for anyone in your organization who needs to look at IT data - from help desk staff to systems administrators and developers.
Administrating Splunk 4
This eight-hour course prepares systems administrators to configure and manage Splunk servers. It covers configuring data inputs and data routing, user accounts and data management policy as well as basic troubleshooting and monitoring. It's recommended for systems administrators who will be in charge of ongoing management of Splunk. "Using Splunk" is a prerequisite.
Deploying Splunk 4
This one-day workshop focuses on designing a Splunk deployment. You will learn to assess your IT search requirements, design a Splunk topology, perform capacity planning and decide on indexing, security, and data management strategies. "Using Splunk" and "Administrating Splunk" are prerequisites for this course.

This one-day course provides in-depth training on Splunk Application development. You will learn how to build and use a Splunk App, how to theme and brand Splunk Web, create desktop and search views for your App, create Modules for your App, package an App and how to access Splunk through the REST API. "Using Splunk" is a prerequisites for this course. Administrating Splunk course is also recommended.
Supporting Splunk
This one-day course provides your support team members certification for handling Level 1 support. The course reviews handling of routine support issues and teaches troubleshooting techniques. It also provides information on partner support resources and case submission and tracking. This class is open only to Splunk partners providing first-level support. "Using Splunk", "Administrating Splunk" and "Deploying Splunk" are prerequisites for this course.
Sales Engineering for Splunk
This one-day course will teach systems engineers how to demonstrate Splunk's value to potential customers. This course includes training on proof of concept and walking a potential customer through a product evaluation, how to answer potential customer questions, answering request for proposal questions and giving product demos. This class is open only to Splunk partners. "Using Splunk", "Administrating Splunk" and "Supporting Splunk" are prerequisites for this course.
