Splunk Now Generally Available on Microsoft Azure

After more than a year of intense collaboration and innovation, we're thrilled to announce that Splunk Cloud Platform is now generally available on Microsoft Azure. This milestone in the strategic alliance between Splunk, a Cisco company, and Microsoft opens powerful new possibilities for enterprise organizations with complex IT needs that seek to enhance their security posture and operational resilience in the cloud. According to Senior Vice President of Splunk Products and Technology, Tom Casey, "Splunk's strategic partnership with Microsoft to build Splunk natively on Azure demonstrates our commitment to advancing digital resilience to help our customers and partners remain secure and up and running at every step of their cloud journey.”

With 85% of Fortune 2000 companies using Microsoft Azure as their trusted cloud platform, the alliance gives companies an easier way to access industry-leading security and observability solutions. “Accelerating the outcomes and opportunity of AI is essential to meeting the needs of customers across the globe,” said Deb Cupp, President, Microsoft Americas. “Splunk and Microsoft share a commitment to help organizations succeed in the AI era. Our partnership empowers rapid innovation that supports our joint customers’ journey to expedite digital resilience and drive success.”

The partnership to this point has been remarkable. “Together, Splunk and Microsoft are integrating enterprise data to strengthen digital resilience and deliver superior hybrid-cloud solutions, both natively and on-premises, that help organizations achieve their digital transformation strategy. Today’s news emphasizes Splunk’s dedication to meeting our customers where they are, and we are pleased to now offer even more flexibility on the trusted Microsoft Azure platform,” adds Tom Casey.

Our General Availability release includes three powerful solutions:

Partner Opportunities

For our global partner ecosystem, the Splunk on Azure release represents a tremendous opportunity to reach thousands of enterprise organizations that have been unable to take advantage of Splunk because it wasn’t available on Azure.

Through the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace and Microsoft Multiparty Private Offers (MPO), partners can create customized solutions that precisely match their customers' unique needs. “This release transforms how we engage with our customers,” says David Francis, Alliances Director at Softcat. “We can now participate earlier in our clients’ digital transformation journeys, providing greater strategic value from day one."

Splunk’s availability on Azure creates new revenue opportunities for partners, while helping customers maximize their cloud investments. Organizations purchasing through the Azure Marketplace can apply their Splunk expenditure toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC).
