Splunk Named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Observability Platforms
We are proud to announce that Splunk has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Observability Platforms for the third year in a row. In our opinion, our recognition in the Observability category comes on the heels of Splunk being recognized for a tenth consecutive time as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Splunk was the only vendor named a Leader in both SIEM and Observability for the Gartner Magic Quadrant three times. In our opinion, this recognition demonstrates our commitment to helping the world’s most innovative organizations quickly detect, investigate, and understand the business impact of performance issues in real time, across any environment, and in-context.
At Splunk, we believe the future of observability is unified, intelligent, and open. This is why we’ve made significant investments across the platform to bring SecOps, ITOps, and engineering teams together to deliver always-on, performant, and secure digital solutions.
Splunk Observability — inclusive of Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), and Splunk AppDynamics — carries an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5.0 star rating based on 32 reviews as of 15 July 2025 on the Gartner Peer Insights™ platform. We believe our key strengths are:
- Complete Business Visibility Across Any Environment and Any Stack: We bring teams together by connecting shared data and context to business impact and prioritization. With features such as a mature service level objective (SLO) management and customer journey mapping, we provide customers with complete business visibility to monitor business processes, ensure infrastructure and application health, and alert on potential issues before they become critical. Our customers rely on these insights to validate their investments, prioritize code, and securely release features.
- Earlier Detection & Faster Investigation of Business-Impacting Issues: We help teams quickly and accurately diagnose problems, so they spend less time in war rooms. Customers can search and analyze unstructured logs and turn them into actionable insights, group related alerts from any source (including other monitoring tools) into a single view to tame alert storms, and quickly spot unknowns with adaptive thresholding for more accurate anomaly detection. We also detect run-time app security vulnerabilities, prioritize responses based on likely business risk, and guide engineering and ITOps teams to root causes for cascading problems with business context woven throughout troubleshooting workflows in Splunk Observability Cloud.
- Better Control of Your Data and Costs: We help customers control data and costs through native, built-in telemetry pipeline capabilities that transform, filter, route, and federate data to optimize volume and reduce spend — without punitive overages on peak usage. A unified OpenTelemetry-native observability platform, customers can quickly instrument their entire ecosystem using a common standard teams can agree on, without needing to worry about vendor lock-in.
We couldn't have received this recognition without our incredible customers and partners. Thank you for making us your trusted advisor in building the future of observability. Your continued support and collaboration fuels our commitment to ensuring we deliver our promise of digital resilience for your apps, infrastructure, and business so that you can make data-driven decisions and focus on what matters most to you.
