Joel Jacob joined Splunk in 2021 in order to lead a new initiative in expanding Splunk's capabilities at the edge. Coming with over 10 years of industrial and electronics expertise at companies like Lexus and ecobee gave Joel a strong customer empathy to build Splunk products with a new stakeholder in mind. He brings a passion to bridging the IT / OT data divide which is a reflection of his love in combining disparate domains. He holds a BASc of Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
