Technical Enablement Communications Coordinator (Contract Role)

Are you passionate about engaging, educating and inspiring employees? Do you have a passion for ensuring employees are fully equipped with the technical aptitude to do their job? We are seeking a Technical Enablement Communications Coordinator to join our small, but growing Global Employee Communications Team based in San Francisco, CA.

In this role, you will work with the Global Employee Communications Team to help increase awareness and engagement related to the Customer Success team’s technical enablement strategy. You will assist in the creation of campaigns, post content to Splunk’s intranet and develop impactful internal announcements, presentations and newsletters. The ideal candidate loves working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; has a high attention to detail, and a knack for both technical writing and storytelling.

This is a part-time contract position that may lead to a full-time opportunity. 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, proof-read and edit enablement communication materials, including presentations, intranet content, newsletters and emails.
  • Identify and develop engaging content to post to the Splunk intranet and enablement portal, refreshing content regularly.
  • Support tech enablement writers in communicating learning paths, launches and updates.
  • Manage the tech enablement events and editorial calendar (e.g., intranet content, employee awareness campaigns, leveraged events, etc.).
  • Assist in designing and implementing enablement engagement surveys.
  • Maintain and share out metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness of communications; analyze the information to make recommendations to improve our strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the communications team.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English or related field
  • 1-2 years of editorial, writing and/or communications experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a proficient writer and proofreader with knowledge of the fundamentals of writing, grammar, syntax.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.
  • Technical writing and comprehension skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a positive attitude, sense of humor, and desire to learn.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.
