Software Development Engineer in Test
Role:

Splunk's Toronto Engineering team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about developing software the right way and skilled at applying automation to streamline our Agile SDLC. You will lead the selection of the QA technology stack to deliver high-quality apps across IoT, iOS, and Android. You will design and implement a robust test automation system that will ensure the team delivers consistently high quality apps in a fast paced development environment. You will also be working closely with the Engineering and Product Teams to analyze new feature risks, determine the test gaps, review test plans and certify product quality for each release. You will be testing both software and the latest in IoT hardware which will require some manual testing with the goal of automating as much as possible. This role serves as an evangelist for good software engineering practice within Engineering to continuously improve speed, quality and scalability of our build and test systems.
Requirements:
- 8 years of software development experience
- 3 to 4 years of QA automation experience
- Experience with QA automation frameworks like appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Selenium
- Experience writing test automation in Python, Java or similar
- Experience working with test case management tools like TestRail
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing IoT devices
- Experience with Kivy
