Sr Manager, Sales Operations (Forecasting)

Splunk is seeking an analytical, strategic, and self-motivated Operations leader for its Global Sales Strategy and Operations Team. This role is critical to sales forecasting, planning, and executing against monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing sales forecasting for senior sales management, pipeline reporting, building standardized and scalable frameworks for reporting and metrics, and collaborating on cross-functional projects to help achieve corporate goals.


In this role you will:

  • Support global sales forecasting and optimize the forecasting process
  • Champion and drive change management initiatives to accelerate Splunk’s transformation to a subscription model, and achieve overall corporate objectives
  • Design and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes and execution strategies
  • Define, manage, and provide insights on key performance metrics
  • Use a data driven approach to draw out business insights that help sales leadership improve the performance of their teams
  • Serve as a sales data, metrics, and analytics subject-matter expert
  • Collaborate with teams cross-functionally to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement



  • 7+ years of sales, operations, and forecasting experience in a high-tech growth environment
  • Experience working with SFDC, Clari, business intelligence, and data visualization tools 
  • Work effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives, creative approaches, and with competing deadlines.
  • Can adapt quickly to change and possess strong work ethic
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to create a trusted relationship with business partners
  • Able to speak in front of senior audiences and write with clarity and concision
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics). MBA is a plus.
