Sr. Manager, Production Design

We are seeking a Production Design expert to join our Brand+Creative team. Do you take a thoughtful and fresh approach to your deliverables, while maintaining a cohesive look across assets? Are you a master of Adobe’s export settings? Do you have checklists for everything under the sun? Do you have validated art production experience that will ensure delivery of top-notch creative assets from printed to digital across the company?
 
The Sr. Manager, Production Design will lead the production team within the Brand+Creative team and report into the Senior Director, Brand+Creative. You will work with the larger Brand+Creative team to operationalize assets and styles to maintain a consistent brand experience across all delivery. You have a hands-on background in web and print production and have a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and real passion for all aspects of production. You will help manage a team of production designers and provide direction and feedback to keep work tracking to meet deadlines. What you'll get to do

  • Responsible for the daily management, execution and delivery of the production team including the management of assigned projects.
  • Develop a high performance team of full time and contract production design resources that are able to deliver against print, digital and presentation content.
  • Communicate with partners regularly and set project expectations appropriately. Share critical information with relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with creative design leads to manage weekly priorities to deliver on commit dates.
  • Collaborate with creative leads in assigning appropriate resources to projects. Help select and implement final imagery and iconography into pixel perfect design.
  • Work with creative leads to reschedule projects and reset expectations based on new or changing priorities.
  • Identify and raise potential issues to the Senior Director, Brand+Creative while actively working with creative leads to address potential risks.
  • Advocate for continuous process improvement and demonstrate the ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Naturally know how to navigate serge periods of production and effectively delegate to a broader production team to ensure delivery.

Must-have Qualifications

  • You are a passionate, results oriented person who wants to make a difference. You will have a minimum of 6 years of solid production design in an agency/studio environment and/or corporate setting.
  • You will have proven experience managing a high volume of tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in a design or creative agency a plus. Strong background in print required with some record of delivering design in digital formats.
  • Validated problem solver with experienced knowledge of creative workflows.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and process driven with the ability to adapt to rapid change in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable with problem solving while maintaining calm under pressure.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom and Figma required.
  • Proficient in G Suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides, MSOffice suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $144,000.00 - 198,000.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
