We are looking for a visionary engineering leader who is passionate about the journey from enterprise on- prem into the cloud. Focusing on Release and DevOps practices that serve large scale software development and the operational aspects required to create a world-class customer experience will be critical to the success for this role as well. This requires experience in designing, operating, administering and supporting mission-critical services in a large engineering organization along with experience in developing microservices in a native cloud world.

Areas of Responsibility
As a DevOps Sr. Director, you will be responsible for shaping the future architecture and infrastructure to smoothly transition into the microservices cloud delivery model. You will also be maturing our CI/CD, large scale, and functional testing infrastructure to support our Customer Managed releases. Focus on self-serviceability, automation, tools development, and reliably building and releasing for a large engineering organization will be critical to this role. We treat our infrastructure as a code like the rest of our applications. While exceptional leadership skills and great interpersonal skills, and ability to learn are keys to success on our team, you should already have the technical skills described in the job requirements below to hit the ground running.
Your responsibilities will include
Lead a global DevOps engineering team that focuses on supporting services, tooling, self service automation to support various layers of testing, build and release, and daily operational metrics to ensure highest productivity for our Cloud and Customer Managed engineering organizations
Focus on developing common tooling, services, automated integration deployment that cut across Enterprise Cloud and Customer Managed work streams to bridge gaps and provide visibility and data to various systems
Collaborate closely with the global engineering teams to ensure high availability of services for highest productivity, quality and business outcomes
Provide CaaS (Container as a service) platform for engineering teams
Build, create and maintain automated solutions with scripting, build systems, backup systems,
shared resources and other integrated systems
Develop, maintain and optimize automated deployment, certification and testing infrastructure
against multiple on premise and, in-time, multiple cloud platforms
Build, configure and tune highly available and fault tolerant Docker Clusters and K8s
Use Objectives and Key Results for the DevOps teams to execute against
Advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of the systems as well as meeting SLAs
Participate in product discussions, influence the roadmap and take ownership and responsibility
for new projects to make them happen
Experienced in Agile PDLC
Docker and Kubernetes at large scale
AWS-including EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, CloudFormation, GCP, Azure
Ansible, Chef, Puppet, VMWare, OpenStack or Artifactory
CI/CD automation experience using Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCI or similar
Proficiency with log monitoring and analytics preferably using Splunk
Scripting using Python, Go
NGINX or similar load balancer – Installation, Configuration and management.
Linux (ssh, including bash/shell scripting)
On-call (SRE style) follow-the-sun rotation, both as a member and as a lead who has improved
the processes themselves
Experience with Application Performance Monitoring is a plus
Experience running end user facing microservices in production is a plus
Experience running JIRA Service Desk as a frontline helpdesk is a plus
Education & Experience
BS, MS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
12+ years of progressive work experience as a DevOps hands-on technical lead in a large-scale software development environment.
12+ years leading teams of 50+ employees
