Role:

The team is looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to join the team and drive our organization’s metrics initiative to measure and report on projects, capabilities, service offerings, department health, etc. for our organization. We look for team members who will suggest creative and new ways to develop and deliver technical solutions. This initiative will be highly impactful by empowering business leaders to turn data into doing. The role involves ownership and technical delivery, working closely with other members (business and technical product owners).

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support datasets, data recipes, and dashboards in CRM Analytics using SalesForce and non-SalesForce Database Sources

  • Implement data access security rules within CRM Analytics

  • Crafting and maintaining highly visual, user-friendly and interactive dashboards, user interfaces and other reports using CRM Analytics and OOB salesforce lightning features

  • Extracting data from different source systems into Salesforce.com, building transformation logic within CRM analytics and configuring actions.

  • Partnering with scrum teams, subject matter experts, and other Splunkers, to understand and detail metric/reporting/visualization requirements.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to establish what data are needed to support identified metrics and to identify any gaps in data availability.

  • Establish, maintain, and publish standards for CRM-Analytics usage across the Sales, Partner, and Customer Success organizations.

  • Recommend if a dashboard should be built using Salesforce OOB lightning features or CRM Analytics or Tableau

  • Communicate with a customer-first approach both verbally and in written form with our executive customers.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in analysis, design, and development of reporting and business intelligence solutions in a data warehouse environment

  • 4+ years of data visualization experience with CRM Analytics and Salesforce reporting

  • Familiarity with Tableau data visualization

  • Experience in publishing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data sources in CRM Analytics

  • Experience in publishing Salesforce Lightning Dashboards

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, SAQL (Salesforce Analytics Query Language), JSON, Salesforce.com data model, and processes

  • Fluent with data manipulation techniques in CRM Analytics - blending, LODs, joining, table calculations, and using shared data sources.

  • Demonstrable ability to develop database queries (SQL) for analysis and exploration.

  • Solid understanding of testing methodology to test dashboards for functionality, data consistency, and performance issues.

  • Fluent with Salesforce access control through roles, profiles, sharing rules, and security predicates

  • Fluent with Einstein Discovery and its usage in the context of CRM Analytics

  • Experience with Subscriptions business model; sales metrics calculations, go-to-market processes

  • Familiarity with formal data modeling paradigms (star & snowflake schemas).

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and iterative practices in a service delivery lifecycle

  • Ability to collaborate with data stewards and other individuals throughout the organization to accomplish common goals.

  • Demonstrated experience with clear and concise verbal and written communication and documentation.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience working in a SaaS Environment

  • Tableau CRM (CRM Analytics) & Einstein Discovery Consultant Certification

  • Experience working in hi-tech industry

  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed.

  • A passion for data visualization!

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a STEM field, or equivalent experience.

Note:

Base Pay Range

India

Base Pay: INR 3,200,000.00 - 4,400,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
