We are looking for a candidate who is truly passionate about data and the power of data-driven insights to solve the world's really big problems. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director, Analyst Relations and work on Corporate AR strategies and programs focused on category creation and evolution for Splunk through this critical influencer channel.

The candidate is a seasoned marketing professional with a track record on delivering key outcomes from Analyst Relations programs. Ideally, the candidate has related experiences in Product Marketing, Consulting, Marketing Communications or other functional areas that demonstrate ability to connect technology innovations to business value in working with the analyst community. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated strong leadership skills, creativity, and strengths in marketing messaging, positioning and operationalizing AR programs. We value collaboration, a penchant for aiming high and a can-do attitude. This is a great opportunity to help extend and evolve the Analyst Relations program in a highly dynamic, fast-growing company.


  • Lead the AR program around Data-To-Everything category creation and focus on cross company initiatives including building out a broader analyst ecosystem in net new areas
  • Build and nurture high value, high impact analyst relationships across the key analyst firms to scale the AR program
  • Develop company level narratives and storylines to facilitate broader and deeper analyst understanding about Splunk, particularly around our Data-To-Everything platform and our unique market position
  • Engage and educate executive key stakeholders on the value of AR to business and have clear points of view on the program goals, milestones and support required from this critical audience
  • Relentless focus on customer advocacy and infuse voice-of-the-customer into analyst engagements
  • Collaborate with the wider global marketing team on lead generation and analyst advocacy programs
  • Operationalize analyst market intelligence into a program; create robust sales education and enablement program for analyst insights
  • Requires a high growth mindset, comfortable working in ambiguous and complex situations


  • 8+ years overall work experience. Must have direct experience working in Analyst Relations, and experience in a high growth company preferred. Additional work experience in relevant functions such as Product Marketing, Consulting, or Market Intelligence, Marketing Strategy within the technology industry a benefit
  • Exceptional interpersonal relations, big picture thinking, strong analytical background, and entrepreneurial spirit would be beneficial
  • Ability to uplevel technical information into business level insights and netting it out on why analysts should care will be critical
  • Excellent writing, communication, messaging/positioning, project management skills
  • Drive creative solutions for the complex situations we encounter
  • Strong work ethic and setting the bar high for AR deliverables along the planning to execution spectrum
  • Travel is required about 30% for analyst conferences and meetings (under normal circumstances)
  • Flexible on location
