Role:

The Professional Services (PS) Senior Engagement and Project Manager is based in Saudi Arabia and you will have in depth Saudi Arabia relevant experience where it role mixes two

Key Responsibilities:

1- Senior engagement manager, leading the total customer engagement lifecycle, From sales prospecting until final project delivery and signoff.

2- Senior Project manager, in charge of the whole Project life cycle and P&L.

This role partners with stakeholders in Sales, Support and Splunk leadership to build Professional services business pipeline, scope customer requirements, answer customer questions, build and deliver solutions, and handle the overall customer experience. The successful candidate will effectively position our services in a prescriptive approach, discuss reasonable timelines, share team structure and encouraged outcomes as part of the sales process to close services business.

While this is an individual contributor role, with no direct people management duties, the candidate should have leadership skills to drive partnership and collaboration between internal and customer partners.

You should combine, technical (Security, Observability, IT Service management), sales, project management and soft skills through past jobs and experience.

Responsibilities:

Engages early in the sales process to position the right solution to the customer to ensure customer happiness and meet their business objectives.

50/50 mix of pre and post sales

Articulates relevant customer success stories and metrics that demonstrate value to our customers.

Consistently performs self-development related to industry trends impacting SPLUNK (Big Data, Security, Observability, ITOPS, Machine learning, Cloud) in order to establish a foundation as a trusted advisor.

Demonstrates solution understanding and success criteria by demonstrating methodologies, blueprints, templates, Service Offerings and successful experiences with related solutions.

Understands the solution options available to the customers and engages the right team to win the deal and drive customer’s trust.

Works with the Contract and Project Management Offices to adhere to SPLUNK best practices and business guidelines and applies collaboration tools to access and share new assets, information, and updates.

Helps leverage existing proposals and SOWs to maximize efficiency and consistency.

Effectively drives the RFP/SOW process in partnership with the area sales teams.

Accurately forecasts opportunities and pipeline, ensuring the information in SFDC is up to date at all times.

Collaborates with the Project Management Office or Project Managers to make sure projects are initiated on a timely basis with a qualified team that reflects the customer’s expectations.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date reporting, documentation, and system Information to ensure the business can be accurately forecasted.

Collaborates with area Sales leaders and Account Managers to build relationships, passionately build pipeline and close bookings as measured by booking targets.

Collaborates with Sales Engineering to ensure Services is engaged early and at the required level of technical detail and content and that POCs are incorporated in Service’s proposed solution.

Works closely with SPLUNK ecosystem to ensure we are presenting a full solution to our customers.

Ensures that SPLUNK delivers successful outcomes as documented in the SOW/CCO by reviewing project status with SPLUNK project team and the customer.

Leverages partners to develop mutually beneficial relationships while continuing the focus on customer success.

Involved in remediation of customer problems, serving as customer advocate to ensure problems are effectively and rapidly resolved.

Drive delivery of Splunk Professional Services (PS) Projects for Customers

Coordinate PS activities with other Splunk functions including PS

Corporate, PS Operations, Sales, Customer Success Managers, Support, Sustaining Engineering etc

Foster positive relationships resulting in objectives and contractual obligations are met.

Promote opportunities where Splunk products and services can meet additional customer requirements.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk products and project management skills.

Assist with process improvement to improve PS practices, including Sales Collateral, Projects templates...

Support and contribute to the development of project management methodology.

Champion & Represent Splunk Professional services both within Splunk, and with Partners and Customers

Responsible for the full lifecycle and P&L of Customer projects, including: Support Sales & Pre-Sales staff and partners to position the Value of PS and Services Proposals

Build or validate SOWs for PS projects.

Work with PS Resource Managers to plan staffing for projects.

Drive Splunk and Customer activities to ensure project is on budget and on time.

Manage the Quality of Splunk project results, including reports, Documentation, configurations, etc.

Work with Splunk support to handover any deployed solution after

signoff.

Drive project closure, including Wrap-up reviews with customers and feedback to Partners.

Manage project risks, issues, and communication stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory 8-10+ years of combined experience in consulting, sales, presales, account management and business development.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise
  • Strong experience in IT Service delivery and support.
  • Ability to translate customer business requirements into project deliverables.
  • Project Management skills and certifications to lead the overall project lifecycle and P&L
  • Experience in leading sophisticated software implementation projects.
  • Ability to evaluate scope feasibility, tune project objectives, gain customer understanding and trust, schedule resources, run timelines, budgets and outcomes.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility.
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously while maintaining customer satisfaction and project financial health.
  • Capacity to collaborate closely with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical fields.
  • Highly advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal business units, partners and customers.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic

Education: Got it!

Mandatory bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer Engineering.

Additional Master in business will be considered as a strong plus.
