Role

We are looking for a talented Solutions Marketer interested in joining a high-impact, high-visibility team. You are passionate about crafting messaging and designing programs for business leaders that show how technology can address their biggest challenges. You have experience building go-to-market programs and processes and tackling challenges without an existing playbook.

You will be part of the Solutions and Portfolio Marketing team, a growing team responsible for Splunk’s cross-portfolio and solutions positioning, messaging and integrated go-to-market. We play a unique role looking across products and developing the integrated story to communicate Splunk’s value to customers. You will develop and implement strategies that bring our Data-to-Everything messaging to life for our executive customers and prospects, with the goal of driving incremental ARR growth.

This role is highly cross-functional, with a focus on both strategy and execution. You will work with corporate messaging, campaigns, field marketing, and product marketing teams to be the connective tissue across our narrative and programs. You will also collaborate with sales and enablement to create full funnel programs to ensure our top-level stories directly lead to accelerated and higher-value sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create strategy, positioning and messaging for new solutions campaign programs
  • Own creation of compelling executive content for consumption in campaigns and events, working with internal teams and external analysts and agencies
  • Work with field marketing teams across regions to ensure key messages make their way into each market in the highest value way
  • Own development of key sales tools (presentations, discovery guides) and collaborate with enablement and sales leaders to bring solutions narratives into the selling and renewal process
  • Champion solution positioning and messaging internally and externally
  • In partnership with product marketing, understand broad market trends and challenges faced by Splunk customers and prospects, as well as the implications for security and observability and how Splunk’s portfolio solves those challenges

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience, with some experience in B2B marketing; SaaS experience preferred
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and thrive amid ambiguity, with a “make it happen” attitude
  • Experience selling / marketing to / working with executives. Strong understanding of the business environment and what keeps executives up at night
  • Amazing written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing differentiated messaging and content
  • Ability to translate technical products into use cases and business value
  • Experience building effective sales content and delivering compelling presentations
  • Strikes a balance of thinking strategically while defaulting to execution
  • Understands and empathizes with the B2B sales process

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors required; MBA a plus
