Solutions Architect, Machine Learning

Location: North America, Remote

Travel: Up to 25%

Splunk Machine Learning (ML) Architects are domain experts in applying machine learning and advanced analytics to solve domain use-cases, leveraging the Splunk software ecosystem. As one of Splunk’s senior-most technical presales resources, you will be a catalyst for growing strategic accounts by delivering ML use-cases and helping account teams secure technical wins using Splunk’s ML offerings.

A successful Machine Learning Architect will not only maintain a deep technical understanding of ML and domain use-cases, but also build cross-functional relationships, and create collateral to build scale and impact Splunk’s rapid growth rate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the highest-level technical escalation in support of applying the Splunk ecosystem to machine learning use cases
  • Engage with North American sales teams including both strategic commercial and public sector accounts
  • Act as a technical expert, fielding questions related to embedded ML (within premium products), streaming ML, and the Splunk Machine Learning Environment (SMLE)
  • Develop and deliver technical training for internal and external audiences covering both use-case and product-specific capabilities
  • Articulate the value of solutions at both advanced sales stages and at high-impact marketing or tradeshow events such as Splunk’s annual user conference
  • Influence product capabilities and direction based on crosscutting customer challenges and needs
  • Operate as a self-starter who is driven by an intense desire to learn, grow, teach & win

Key Differentiators:

  • 8+ years of technical, customer-facing experience in technical pre-sales, services delivery, or consulting
  • Experience presenting to executive level stakeholders and CxO
  • Possesses strong presentation skills and is able to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
  • Hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques to enterprise business challenges
  • Hands-on experience of using open-source analytics and data science tools and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, statsmodels
  • Python scripting expertise and a history of delivering work using (Jupyter) notebooks
  • Experience capturing customer challenges as consolidated use-cases to craft product direction
  • Experience as a Splunk user and/or domain expertise in advanced analytics for Security, IT Operations, or Observability

Education: Got it!

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or statistics, or commensurate experience
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
