As a member of the newly formed Splunk AppInspect team, you will help drive the engineering excellence of Splunk ecosystem. AppInspect ensures that your Splunk app is ready for production on your own Splunk Enterprise instance or for you to submit to Splunkbase.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement highly performant and scalable API services for app inspect product.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, and engineers across the teams to refine and breakdown product requirements.
- Design and implement an efficient test strategy for our services.
- Take ownership and initiative to own and address issues promptly for our internal and external customers.
- Become proficient in Splunk's core technologies and processes as they apply to application development.
- Opportunity to mentor engineers and constantly raise the bar on engineering standards across the team and organization.
Requirements:
- BS EE or CS degree; 5 + years related experience (or Masters and 4 + years related experience or PhD without experience)
- Strong object oriented programming experience in languages such as Python, or Go. In this position you'll be mostly using Python.
- Experience working with Docker, AWS, and Amazon EKS is nice to have.
- Experience with an Agile DevOps engineering environment that efficiently uses CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Familiarity with building Splunk apps and experience in the Application Marketplace/Ecosystem (e.g. ServiceNow Store, Atlassian Marketplace), for the certification process and tooling, is a plus.
- Familiarity with web application frameworks such as Django and, client-side frameworks like (Vue, React) is a plus.
