This position is based in Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose, McLean, VA or fully-remote for well-qualified candidates.
In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining SRE/DevOps tooling that drives Operational Excellence for Splunk Cloud Services.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to design and develop tooling using Go and Python. You should have an expert understanding of application development frameworks, build-systems, and ability to integrate tools into the CI pipeline. Experience with continuous integration tools such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, and related open-source build tools is important. You will help establish and promulgate conventions and standards that improve software quality and maintainability. You should understand common security anti-patterns, the developer approach to solving these problems, and build solutions that support SRE's.
A well qualified candidate will have 5 or more years of hands-on experience specifically with Python and Golang. Effective written and verbal communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business is crucial. SRE or similar experience is preferred.
