As a Software Engineer on the Splunk Observability team, you will be responsible for making OpenTelemetry the standard way of instrumenting and collecting all telemetry data, including traces, metrics, and logs. In this role, you will be driving major architectural and performance improvements to the collection components to enable the community to build an ecosystem of collection plugins and out-of-the-box integrations. You will be expected to provide thought leadership to the project and community and be recognized as a major contributor on your own while also representing the company.
