As a Senior Sales Engineer within the Global Strategic Alliances team, you will be responsible for integrating partner technologies with Splunk’s portfolio of solutions. You will collaborate with multiple teams in Splunk and the partner ecosystem, predominantly large cloud platform SI’s such as AWS & GCP. You will help define the partner strategy in developing areas and be supportive of that strategy. You will engage at a technical level to assist with architecture and development initiatives. At times you may be the core developer for a Splunk integration and at times you may be responsible for validating a solution or product architecture. Long term relationship management with our partners will make you successful in helping them develop viable solutions from which our mutual customers may benefit.
A key component to this role is communicating Splunk’s mission statement: To make machine data valuable, accessible, and usable by all persons. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a provided technology consulting, software development, systems administration, or technical sales. Knowledge of security, IT operations, application management, and cloud environments are crucial. You should be comfortable discussing issues of scale and fostering innovation in a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. You must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
You should be able to present Splunk's value proposition and demonstrate Splunk products and services to partners and customers at industry events.
Education: BS in Computer Science or similar degree
