As a Senior Product Manager at Splunk, you will help to evolve, refine and build the Core Security Services for the Splunk cloud platform: this involves identity and access management, security and compliance for all users and services across all Splunk products.

  • Understand the needs of a wide range of end users across DevOps, Security teams and ITOps and their requirements to access data across the Splunk Data Platform.
  • Track dependencies on the core platform across the Splunk product portfolio. Prioritize effectively across multiple stakeholders’ requirements and conflicting dimensions.
  • Build a compelling platform roadmap that delivers a cross-product vision. Identity patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent platform deliverable
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to specify clear priorities, evaluate technical tradeoffs and build high-impact features.
  • Report status crisply and succinctly to multiple stakeholders, leadership and customers.
  • Ensure operational excellence, maturity and high quality of features that are shipped. Enable engineering with clear goals for these.
  • Manage customers through various phases of software delivery (Beta, LAR, GA)
  • Experience with completing one or more of these certifications: FedRAMP, Common Criteria, FISMA, FIPS 140-2, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or other country-specific certifications. Desire to learn new certification schemes and processes
  • Strong leadership and program management skills needed to influence and lead without direct authority
  • A passion for usability and a knack for simplicity
  • Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition, and technologies as they change, and factor it, as well as feedback from internal groups and customers, into the product direction.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in product management or technical product management role in a Cloud based B2B product
  • Technical background in cloud security; knowledge of network security, enterprise security, endpoint security and cryptography is helpful
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle, experience with Agile software methodologies and/or continuous delivery of software
