Senior Product Manager, CI/CD (remote OK)

As a Senior Product Manager for the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) team, within the IT Engineering group, you will play an important role in the success of our Continuous Delivery Platform initiative to automate the delivery and increase developer effectiveness across all IT teams. You will be responsible for driving the overall vision, roadmap and product features we deliver for our diverse set of partners. You will need to be able to influence (without authority, in some cases) other product team roadmaps and prioritize CI/CD efforts in their backlogs. Using your technical expertise and deep experience in delivering features using agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, you will have to balance priorities to deliver on measurable outcomes.

The role requires collaboration and communication with senior leaders, and executives while defining detailed functional requirements, delivering within an agile delivery framework, and supervising key performance indicators. This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, balance various tasks simultaneously while contributing to a positive work culture. In addition, phenomenal verbal communication and written documentation skills are critical for this role.

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to achieve that vision.
  • Represent the team as the main interface for collaboration with internal business partners and actively engage with them to ensure delivery is aligned with business needs
  • Partner with other product managers, development managers and technical leads across the organization to align strategies, roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and releases to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Actively network with key industry contacts to understand standard methodologies and emerging practices and how they can be used within the company
  • Define and standardize Key Performance Indicators that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results
  • Product backlog responsibility to ensure the highest business value is being delivered
  • Independently author technical feature requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for varying business scenarios
  • Produce feature requirement artifacts, such as data flows, process flows, decision trees, state diagrams, and system context diagrams to support the delivery team
  • Produce and lead go-live release communications that educate users and/or impacted teams of the outcomes delivered via the new features and/or changes
  • Present roadmaps, sophisticated ideas and features to broad teams in an effective manner.
  • Perform interviews to provide hiring recommendations based on competency and delivery effectiveness
  • Cultivate a positive team environment where there is a sense of purpose, ideas are heard, and decisions are transparent

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

  • 8+ years of technical product management experience
  • 5+ years experience within the DevOps/CICD field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner on an agile team
  • 1+ year of experience delivering solutions using modern CI solutions, such as GitLab, CircleCI, Travis, or Jenkins
  • Proven track record of partnering with internal partners to define strategies, roadmaps, dependencies, and releases

Preferred knowledge and experience: These are a huge plus.

  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
  • Experience operating with a geographically dispersed workforce

Education: Got it!

  • BS or MS in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience required
