Are you passionate about cutting edge technology and like to influence and lead teams? Are you a SME when it comes to Observability? If you answered yes to these questions, we have a role for you! In this role you will lead and manage a team of Sales Specialist within the Observability space throughout the Americas. You will play an active role in the GTM leadership team and help craft the way Splunk goes to market with our Observability offerings to our customers. You and your team will look at what is working and evangelize and act as an advocate.


  • Lead, mentor and influence a team of ITOps and DevOps Sales Specialist.
  • Work with Senior Leadership in GTM /Sales Theater Leaders to drive success in Observability for our field teams and customers.
  • Align with Observability GTM partners in Product Management, PMM, SE, Evangelist/Advocacy to enable effective communication of the DevOps & IT Ops strategy and roadmap to both Internal and External partners/customers.
  • Work with the Theater DevOps & IT Ops Sales leaders to help identify, define and promote Observability sales standard methodologies.
  • Act as “Exec” level air cover/support and a proxy in region for exec presence with our most strategic, sophisticated and impactful accounts.
  • Evangelist Contribution of blogs, whitepapers, webinars, presence at Splunk events etc. 


  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the Observability space including managing a team of pre/post sales Observability (DevOps or ITOps sales teams)
  • Expertise in ITOps & DevOps and familiar with the big players in this space.
  • Strong cloud knowledge and modern application architecture (micro-services).
  • Previous experience as a practitioner and hands on technical chops within the space a must.
  • Experience sourcing and defining patterns and trends from field sales teams and theater leaders and helped increase sales engagement process
  • Worked and lead teams in a sales overlay role.
  • Bachelors degree preferred and MBA a plus
