Role:

The Senior Director Product Management, Strategy & Operations will be responsible for driving the roadmap for key aspects of Security Products at Splunk. The right candidate will have an opportunity to use their entire range of skills and interact with security research, sales, marketing, and development to guide Splunk’s approach to security. This role presents an excellent opportunity for the right individual to establish themselves as the owner of key elements of Splunk’s industry-leading security solutions reporting to the VP of Product Management for Security Products.

Responsibilities:

Manage operational product roadmap planning including tracking corresponding requirements and development efforts working closely with product-line owners
Help create the strategy of Security Products at Splunk by evaluating potential acquisition opportunities and developing product integration plans
Scale product-line teams for customer feedback at different points in the roadmap cycle (example Splunk Ideas, gathering beta feedback, etc…)
Pricing / packaging strategy for the Security Products portfolio
Participate and drive quarterly business reviews with executive leadership
Opportunistically engage w/ key industry analyst firms
Manage a team of 3 FTE’s

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years security industry experience, including at least: 5+ years in product management for Cloud (SaaS or IaaS) security products.
Experience working with Agile development teams using Scrum methodology.
Experience working with different roadmap planning tools and frameworks (e.g. JIRA)
Good understanding of a range of Cloud (SaaS and IaaS) solutions and enterprise security products
Experience integrating at least one acquisition into a product portfolio
Working knowledge of core Splunk & ES OR one major non-Splunk SIEM or log management solution

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline required, or equivalent practical experience.
MBA or equivalent work experience desired. Or equivalent practical experience.
Or equivalent practical experience

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $244,800.00 - 336,600.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $220,000.00 - 302,500.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $196,000.00 - 269,500.00 per year
