Senior Build Engineer (Mobile)

Role:

Do you have a passion for using the latest CICD technologies to test mobile applications? Do you want to be part of a founding team for a new mobile first product and build something from the ground up?

Splunk's Mobile Engineering team is looking for a Senior Build Engineer who is passionate about developing software the right way and skilled at applying CICD tools to streamline our Agile SDLC. You will develop the continuous integration and deployment systems which will be used to deliver high-quality mobile apps. You will design and implement a robust CICD pipeline that will ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality apps in a fast-paced development environment. You will also be working closely with several Engineering Teams to build systems which will certify product quality for each release. You will serve as an advocate for good software engineering practices within the Engineering team to continuously improve speed, quality and scalability of our build and test systems.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years as a Build Engineer or similar role with focus on mobile build quality
  • Experience designing and implementing continuous integration and deployment and test automation
  • Experience maintaining build and CI servers such as Jenkins
  • Experience with version control solutions such as Github, Gitlab or Bitbucket
  • Experience in Linux fundamentals and scripting languages like Python, Ruby and Bash
  • Familiarity with Xcode and Gradle which support the iOS and Android apps

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with automation tools like fastlane, Espresso, Sauce Labs
  • Experience with Splunk products
