We are seeking a motivated, self-starter to join Splunk’s growing Data Protection team. In this role, you will make an immediate contribution to the company's continued growth and success by acting as a subject matter expert for data protection and security related issues throughout the organization. This attorney will be based in San Francisco, CA, and will report to Splunk’s Sr. Director, Data Protection.
You possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a strong desire to make a meaningful impact; are strategic, detail oriented and capable of influencing others; and work successfully in a dynamic environment across different functional groups, time zones and cultures. You are flexible, creative, ambitious and smart—show initiative, perseverance, resourcefulness, and a willingness and desire to handle a variety of legal issues while maintaining a sense of humor.
You also possess proven professional skills such as excellent legal and business judgment; strong writing, speaking/presentation/ analytical skills; deep understanding of data protection and security laws (US and EU); strong foundation in network security architecture and SaaS computing; strong interpersonal and project management skills; history of developing relationships of trust and confidence with business partners.
