We are looking for an experienced commercial and technology attorney to lead critical Splunk transactions and initiatives across multiple business functions. You will play a key role in Splunk’s sales growth in all global theaters, with a focus on enterprise cloud transactions, as well as supporting Splunk’s alliances, M&A integration and transformation teams. You will also provide oversight and guidance to one or more contract managers supporting revenue opportunities and commercial functions. The role will require legal expertise in cloud technology transactions across a variety of industries and markets, with a bonus for M&A, public sector and international experience. We will value your experience with data privacy law and security, as well as your knowledge with the trends across the global SaaS industry. You will contribute to global initiatives, process improvements and playbooks to help Splunk scale for growth and improve contracting processes. You will be asked to serve as the legal representative on a number of cross-functional teams that are tasked with driving Splunk’s business objectives. This role will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Legal.
To succeed, the role requires you to have an analytical mind and business minded approach to legal issues. You need to possess excellent business judgment and critical thinking; have the ability to perform independently as well as cross-functionally and demonstrate flexibly in a collaborative, dynamic team environment; know how to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives to conclusion independently and in a timely manner; possess strong persuasion, negotiation and collaboration skills and excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills; be self-motivated, self-reliant, and confident; and have a good sense of humor and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and exciting environment.
