We are seeking a special pre-sales engineer to join our team in Tokyo Japan as a Sales Engineer. In addition to requisite passion, skills and experience, you will have a measurable track record in building and managing high performing organizations. As a member of our growing team, you will play a key role driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk.

Responsibilities:

・営業プロセスの技術評価段階を積極的に推進、リードし、営業/チャネルチームと連携して、当社の製品やサービスの主要な技術アドバイザー兼提唱者として活動
・プレゼンテーション、デモンストレーション、技術的な営業活動の経験をお持ちの方、また、お客様の技術者や幹部に対して当社製品を紹介し、販売することができる方
・当社の技術、機能、ソリューション、アプリケーションに関するお客様からの技術的な質問に答えるとともに、当社の技術や製品の位置づけをビジネスユーザーと技術ユーザーの両方に明確に説明
・営業プロセスのすべての段階において、お客様の満足を得るために、担当アカウントのすべての技術的な問題を特定
・販売サイクルを通じて、お客様の技術スタッフ、リーダー、経営陣と強い関係を築き、維持する
・ウェブコンテンツの開発および拡大、マーケティングや営業と連携したサービスの価値提案、資料、営業手法の改善
・オンサイト、ウェビナーセッションによる遠隔操作、コンファレンスやトレードショーなどのフィールドイベントで、お客様に製品やサービスを紹介

  • Responsible for actively driving and leading the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in partnership with the sales/channels Team as the key technical advisor and advocate for our products and services
  • You also would be encouraged to have experience presenting, demonstrating and handling technical sales engagements as well as being able to present and sell our product to our customer’s technical and executive audience
  • Answer technical questions from customer's regarding Splunk technology, features, solutions, applications as well as articulate Splunk technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Identify all technical issues of your assigned accounts to assure complete customer happiness through all stages of the sales process
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customer's technical staff, leaders and management
  • Develop and expand our web based content and work with marketing and sales to refine our service value proposition, literature as well as sales approach
  • Demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows

Requirements:

・ビッグデータ市場またはセキュリティ市場に関する基礎知識をお持ちの方
・ネイティブレベルの日本語コミュニケーション能力を有する方
・英語に堪能な方が望ましいですが、必須ではありません

  • Solid understanding of IT technology and strong willingness to be successful as a Sales Engineer 
  • Extraordinary interpersonal, written and presentation skills
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment and learning new technologies
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate
  • Foundational knowledge of the Big Data marketplace or the Security marketplace
  • Native level Japanese Communication. Fluent English is preferred, but not required
