Regional Sales Manager (Public Sector)

Do you have a measurable track record in building, managing, and delivering high-performing sales results within large and complex Public Sector customers? Are you passionate about new technologies, and looking to join a growing and dynamic organisation?

We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager to join our UK Public Sector team. As part of a top performing team in the UK business, you will play a key role in driving a significant share of the revenue for Splunk. Are you up for the challenge?

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver against aggressive SaaS revenue targets – dedication to the number and to deadlines.
  • Executing complex account mapping, account planning and opportunity management.
  • Negotiating with large commercial enterprises by selling value and return on investment.
  • Effectively using Sales Engineering, in-house and partner services resources. As well as sales methodology and qualification processes.
  • Collaborating with both international and domestic colleagues to expand value to the customer.
  • Being a good corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant information; working as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources.
  • Providing timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of direct account management of complex Public Sector Departments is essential.
  • A record of closing six and seven figure SaaS software licensing deals.
  • Demonstrable ability to build and execute complex account plans and follow qualification frameworks. 
  • Experience leading a large account team and demonstrate a culture of empowerment and enablement. 
  • Highly attuned to situational drivers, with the ability to ‘read a room’ and adjust approaches depending on the situation. 
  • Relevant software industry experience in any of the following: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics. 
  • A desire to learn, you will need to be able to demonstrate a history of learning and developing.
  • Strong partner relationships, a plus.
