Regional Sales Manager (Army Tactical)

The Role:

Do you have sales experience in the DoD vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer? Are you also a self-starter who is passionate about selling software to DoD and you know how to consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets? You are creative in thinking and thrive in a team environment and adopt all aspects of selling to close 6-7 figure deals. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and use your strong verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll be an integral part of Splunk's Federal-DoD - sales team and you will use your passion and focus on Army Tactical opportunities.

Responsibilities:

You will identify, qualify and close new opportunities focused on IT Service Intelligence and the automation of Federal IT organizations and business, including modifications that will be required to ensure the successful adoption of Splunk technology.

Ability to succeed in this role will require strong drive, passion, as well as the application of technical/business skills, creative and problem solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience, meeting and exceeding a software/SaaS quota
  • You have 2+ Years of direct enterprise software sales experience (selling to Army entities preferred)
  • Experience closing 6 figures software sales deals to Federal Sales space (DoD preferred)
  • You have specific and recent federal sales experience to Integrator customers
  • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
  • Consistent track record of sales performance and knowledge of DoD sales (Army preferred)
  • Comfort with an enterprise and transactional sales model
  • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior sales business manager level
  • High creativity and passionate about groundbreaking technology software
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills
  • Business development, prospecting skills and ability to build strong partner relationships
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA a plus
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
