Role:
As a marketing intern, this is an outstanding opportunity for a driven, inquisitive and detail-oriented student to gain skills essential to becoming a marketing master. Splunk is seeking a hardworking, self-directed marketing intern to support key initiatives related to our account-based marketing programs. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting, fast-growing marketing team targeting a set of customers that represent some of the most innovative and forward thinking government agencies in the US.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for collaborating with multiple teams to support marketing strategies and grow the Splunk public sector business. You will help to coordinate budget and resources, execute programs, and events designed to achieve the plan goals, and work with operations to report on ROI.
- Assist in implementation of marketing plans that include a coordinated approach of both online and offline tactics such as live and virtual events, digital, email, etc., timeline for execution of specific tactics, and defined goals and metrics to track results.
- Organize marketing budget and work with shared services, virtual teams and external agencies to execute campaigns and tactics.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales operations to develop the appropriate marketing metrics to effectively demonstrate the ROI of the marketing efforts.
- Audit and participate in key business meetings with the sales and marketing team.
Requirements:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written
- Proficient in Google, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Very organized with excellent attention to detail
- Self-starter who wants to dive right in and own their own projects while also collaborating closely with team members
