Role:

Splunk is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Professional Services Architect, Partner Solutions - Core/Platform to join our dynamic partner strategy team. You will work together with Splunk’s partner team on the solution and technical aspects of selling and creating Splunk’s Platform solutions to our largest Enterprise clients. The Splunk Partnerverse Program differentiates partner competencies and enhances offerings across industries, technology and use cases. It provides access to a rich set of benefits that deepen customer access and contributions to Splunk and offers meaningful marketing support to position each partner’s unique offerings and solutions.

As part of the new Splunk Partnerverse Program badging system, participants can earn different badges to help customers identify which  partners have the right expertise to meet their needs. 

Our clients span all business sectors and sizes. You'll be one of the Platform subject matter experts for our team serving our partners and prospects.

Would you like the opportunity to work at a fast-growing company that is changing the way that information is used to support business decisions? You will have the responsibility for actively driving and leading the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor, you will be an advocate for Splunk’s products and services. Additionally, you will position Splunk's Platform technology and solutions to both business and technical users. You will identify all technical issues of your assigned accounts to assure complete client satisfaction throughout the sales process, and establish and maintain positive relationships with your client's technical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs is also important.
  • Self-motivated with a consistent track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly to emails and RFPs when submitting reports.
  • Ability to be organized and analytical, and will be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a fast growing customer base.
  • IMPORTANT:We can teach you the technology, coach you on soft skills and educate you on processes. You should have a strong sense of self-motivation, an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with technology, the desire to work with an awesome team and a positive, fun-loving attitude.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of current experience in technical consulting or sales engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Cloud in large scale and highly distributed architectures
  • 3+ years experience supporting customer facing multi-tenant infrastructure (SaaS) or similar cloud related services
  • 3+ years experience with virtualization technologies
  • 3+ years experience with at least one of the following Cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Certifications and Accreditations:
  • Splunk Certified Core Consultant
  • Splunk Accredited Splunk Cloud Fundamentals Consultant
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification
  • Experience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line interface
  • Strong open systems application and infrastructure knowledge
  • Clear understanding of network and system management solutions
  • Organized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet deadlines with competing priorities
  • Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how it relates to the customer’s business
  • Working knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET), databases and analytical tools
  • Experience with automation/orchestration tools, at least two of the following: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform
  • Ability to stop, collaborate and listen with technical and non-technical consumers from application developers to executive level partners
  • Self-motivated and self-educating, always interested in keeping up with technology and improving oneself
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% globally
  • Relevant experience in selling and supporting Splunk software products to Enterprise-level organizations
  • Network Administration/Architecture/Management Knowledge.
  • Unix/Windows – Administration Experience.
  • Comfortable approaching total strangers and quickly extracting technical know-how from them.
  • Should be available to travel to visit prospects and customers.
  • Strong written and verbal English communications skills.

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location.  The base pay for this position is dependent on work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for bonus and benefits, and may be eligible for equity.  

Base Pay Range 

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range:  $180,800 - 248,600 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range:  $171,200 - 235,400 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range:  $153,600 - 211,200 per year
