Role
Splunk is seeking a Product Manager to join the team to build upon our SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) product offering. SOAR is a security product crafted to reduce manual work, improve alert context, and act as a force multiplier within an organization. We are looking for a Product Manager to evolve, refine and grow our SOAR product. This position will require creative thinking to solve unique customer challenges and for ideation of new competitive functionality.
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and execution for SOAR security and compliance requirements. You will be focusing on an area that is absolutely critical for ensuring high-security standards for Splunk.
- Gather and detail market requirements for existing and future offerings. Conduct primary research that includes customer and partner interviews.
- Prioritize and coordinate backlog ensuring a healthy balance between technical debt, defect resolution, and new features.
- Meet with customers to handle escalations and requests. Take specific customer feedback and derive meaningful features and resolutions that have broadscale applicability.
- Make tough prioritization choices and find creative solutions to hard problems.
- Build a compelling platform roadmap that delivers a cross-product vision. Identity patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent platform deliverable.
- Perform market and competitive landscape analysis.
- Collaborate with product marketing to support the creation of customer-driven messaging and content.
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to specify clear priorities, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and build high-impact features.
- Travel will be required, when it is safe to do so.
Skill Requirements
- 1 or more years of Product Management experience, Solutions Architect or Systems engineers for SOAR or other automation solutions.
- Solid experience building use cases for security incident response.
- Hands-on solid understanding of SOAR or adjacent markets (IT automation, SIEM, case management).
- One or more industry-recognized security certifications such as; Sec+, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, or other.

- Bachelors in business or technical degree category
