Do you have a passion for building software and hardware products that leverages the power of machine learning? Do you want to be part of the founding team for a new IoT product and build something from the ground up?
Splunk's Toronto Team is looking for a Product Manager to help us build an innovative new IoT product in a beautiful form factor.
This role brings many teams and disciplines together in a way that is critical to defining how our IoT product works. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background with an interest and passion for building new products and the state-of-the-art IoT and Edge-AI solutions.
Our team is very entrepreneurial and prides itself on proving our product value proposition while moving quickly and adapting to changes in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collect customer, sales, partner, and market input for the development of product requirements, then develop and validate associated use cases
- Work closely with customers to gather feedback and manage relationships
- Define the product vision and advocate among stakeholders
- Drive our beta program
- Work closely with our Engineering Team to define our roadmap, plan releases and sprints
- Write product specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with product marketing to develop product positioning, pricing and collateral
- Formulate and execute GTM strategy, driving early adoption
- Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems
Requirements:
- 5+ years strong, consistent record in product management with relevant exposure or similar role in an enterprise software company
- Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum model of product development
- Knowledge of IoT and hardware solutions
- Prior experience creating and managing an early access and beta programs for a new product
- Prio experience planning SCRUM based projects using Jira
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with IoT and hardware solutions
- Prior experience working with edge AI and machine learning
- Scrum Product Owner certification
Education:
- BS in a technical field (e.g. EE, CS, Data Science); MBA or equivalent practical experience.
