You will develop the tools, programming libraries, services, and resources to enable internal and external application developers to build solutions on the Splunk Cloud Platform.
You will help determine the details by taking technical leadership on features, working with colleagues to define them, designing and breaking them down into actionable tasks - then drive them to completion with peers on your team.
You will work with groundbreaking technologies, taking advantage of open-source initiatives and third-party services, to provide the best developer experience.
You are expected to be a self-starter, innovative and always looking for new ways to contribute to the team.
You will analyze and optimize front end and back end code, and pursue simplicity, efficiency, reliability and performance.
You will use independent judgment to take existing code, understand its function and change/enhance as needed.
You will lead, mentor, and partner with team members and other groups.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
You are passionate about client development and providing phenomenal experience for other developers. You have an eye for design and are capable of crafting the code to deliver it.
You have expertise working with thoughtfully designed Restful APIs
Experience developing development frameworks, including API and library design for multiple target languages
You have the ability to learn new technologies quickly and passionate about mentoring others
You have strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Passionate about helping other developers
Familiar with one of the major Cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
You have participated and/or contributed to open-source projects
Knowledge in building highly automated and maintainable software
Have experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL, or Splunk
You are comfortable working with other roles and teams across Splunk and Splunk's customers to better understand and deliver on scenarios and requirements
Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a technical Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a technical Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
